All change….

Me!It’s hard for me to believe that it’s been almost 18 months since my last blog post, but so much has happened during that time that it has actually flown by for me.

If you’re a regular reader (hopefully there are a few of you left!) you’ll be aware that I took on the role of Group Organiser for the Bristol Coeliac UK Local Group, but having instigated the revival of the group some years earlier, I felt that my involvement in the group should finally come to an end and the reigns should be passed on to someone else, so I resigned from my role and from the committee back in May.

It was a tough decision for me to make, but I needed to get some ‘me’ time back. My little one is now 2 years old and full of energy, so it’s nice to have more time with him and not worry about planning the next meeting or event, instead I’m organising play dates and day trips!

The past few years have been tough for personal reasons too, so it’s nice to have a little grounding again. This leads me on to my return to blogging!

I had originally wanted to carry on blogging whilst in the group, but realistically time didn’t allow it, so as soon as I stepped down from the group I wanted to get straight back to it….

However, just a few weeks later I needed surgery to have my gallbladder removed! Cue being out of action again for a few weeks and a complete lack of desire to do anything, let alone put my mind to something.

But now, fully recovered, my mojo is back! 🙂

I’ve been putting a few things on my Facebook page just to keep people updated with what I’ve been up to and where I’ve been visiting, but now that I’m back I want to expand on those posts and write some full reviews to let you guys know the places in Bristol to visit for the best gluten free food, along with some of my normal product reviews (handy that I received a sample box from Schar today!).

I’m not going to be putting any pressure on myself to publish reviews at certain times or with specific regularity, it’ll just be as and when I’m in the zone and when time (and a toddler!) allows. Hopefully that works for everyone?!

Whilst I get on with my writing, have any of you come across any great new restaurants / shops / products lately that you think we should know about? If so, please let us know by leaving a comment below.

Also, I’m always on the lookout for some guest bloggers, so if you’d be willing to write a blog post about your favourite gluten free restaurant, shop or product please get in touch!

It’s great to be back! 🙂
