After seeing how amazing Sara’s cakes looked from photos posted on Twitter I thought I’d trying my luck at seeing if she made gluten free ones…. of course she does! 🙂
If you’ve not come across Coffee @ Camden before, here’s some more information about them, taken from their website:
We are based in Camden, about 5 minutes from the centre of the beautiful city of Bath. Serving a selection of scrumptious food, including breakfasts and lunches, all made to order, along with our own fabulous cupcake creations.
We also have our very own special Coffee @ Camden blend of coffee! With an outside terrace you can enjoy the stunning views across Bath, perfect for lovely sunny days.
The cafe has been open for about 3 years now and with a family atmosphere it’s hard to resist the personal, friendly welcome!
As it was approaching Valentine’s Day and Sara was promoting her Valentine’s Day cupcakes I asked her if it would be possible to make some gluten free ones that I could give to Rich as a present (yes, Rich isn’t on a gluten free diet, but obviously I was going to help him eat them….!).
I advised Sara as to what sort of flavours we liked (lemon for Rich and raspberry for me) but left it to her as to what she was going to make!
The day before Valentines Day I drove over to Coffee @ Camden to pick up the cupcakes and to meet Sara in person for the first time. She really is lovely!
Sara’s presentation of her cakes is second to none. Check these out…
I had no idea what the flavours were until we took our first bites and it was certainly a pleasant surprise! Two of them were white chocolate and the other two were lemon curd and raspberry. Yummy!
I was really impressed and how moist these cupcakes were and I have to say that the buttercream was absolutely amazing!
My cupcakes cost £10.50 which I feel is very reasonable considering they were freshly made, hand decorated and gluten free! 🙂
If you have any special events coming up and you need some cupcakes or celebration cakes, I would not hesitate to recommend Sara and Coffee @ Camden. With Mother’s Day fast approaching why not treat your Mum to some cupcakes…. 😉
Coffee @ Camden also offer cupcake classes and Childrens Cupcake parties!
Here’s some more information about both:

Different types of piping techniques are also introduced in the class.
The classes include 6 cupcakes for you to decorate and then take home boxed up with a ribbon to finish. Also included is a hot drink and a cupcake to enjoy whilst in the class.
